Rain Down On Me

They say when it rained it poured
when it came, no bird would soar.

Harmless droplets turned to bullets
thats why no one remains scarless.

As the clouds turn dark and rumble,
i start running, careful not to stumble.

Looking for some sort of shade
hiding from natures's gloomy parade.

When i found myself a damp cave,
it looked exactly like that death maze.

Why did the rain force me in here?
A place where my mind greatly feared.

There i remained till the rain cleared,
every second was mirrored torture.

Staring at those hard uneven moist walls,
i did nothing but rewind those insane calls.

Wishes and hopes of my parents, peers and lover,
suffocated me, shook me, made me run for cover.

I was forced into a corner to stare my fears down,
i felt drained like that familiar washed out clown.

Slowly but surely, the rain knew i would beat it,
as i stuttered then screamed, i murdered it bit by bit.

How was i supposed to know i would come of on top,
if i did, i would have walked in there like a cop.

What is done is done, should i feel different now?
As the rain reduces to a drizzle, i walk out with a bow.

Then i stare at the sky and instead of screaming
i silently point to the heavens and walk away smiling.

My People & I

Green pastures and prancing horses,
now only belong in dreams,
nuclear bombs and armed forces,
are now what accompanies daily screams.
I miss my neighbours smiles,
and hearing the children laugh,
were now all apart between miles and miles,
waiting patiently for that white dove.

As my hair turns white and limbs start to creak,
all i still see are bodies by the street,
who will help the poor and the meak?
You? I? Or maybe the King's fleet?
Patience is now running low,
my people can't take it no more,
soon they might get up and go,
like how they did long long ago.

Rise now my brothers and sisters,
wipe away your tears and stitch your wounds,
now from mourners you're to become fighters,
no longer breathing those toxic fumes.
A revolution will be born today,
where the innocent will prevail,
where those cannibals will see the errors of their ways,
and set their ships to sail.

Together we'll build our defensive wall,
cementing blocks with our blood-stained hands,
waiting once more, but now for the call,
that will release us from our trance.
As the sun rises and we march for our freedom,
we know the battle will be long and hard,
for those who wish to shatter this kingdom,
they best play some other card.

This story is so very old,
as his story never fails to replay itself,
it becomes our hope and our gold,
forcefully taken from it's dusty shelf.
I only wish for everyone to come together,
and fight of every ungodly luck and curse,
to be as vengeful and unpredictable as weather,
and stand up to those who've trampled on us.

The Unknown

All i really want
is to answer what i do not know,
all i really need
is that warmth when am out in the snow.
The question still remains;
do i really want to leave this hole?
hoping and praying to escape,
so i can turn my back and remain cold.

'enough' is missing from your life
surrounded by misery and luxury,
you want what you'll never have
and let obvious failure become fury.
Listen here deaf man,
am not edging out of this ledge,
while i dangle my legs absently,
you'll still be in your barless cage.

The frail will not last
as the trail is rough and winding,
the burden i carry weighs down on me
so i dump it and begin running.
When i find what i'm looking for
i would have have cracked more than a bone,
i may look defeated and torn,
but you'll known then, that i've found the unknown.

Good Night

By the moonlight
shadows come to play,
come tomorrow...
they will fade away.

The Curse

The spasms are unberable
your pills are of no help.
Don't give me your hand
I dont want it.

I have been screaming my lungs out
while you stand and stare,
leave before I lunge at you,
before I consume you.

As I wait for the inevitable,
searching for my fatal mistake,
now alone, my mind hunts you down,
clinging to your every breath.

My words are as sharp as blunt knives,
yet all I silently wish for
is your eternal presence beside me.
Alas, I have never been a fortunate soul.

Giving Up The Gun

Your sword's grown old and rusty
Burnt beneath the rising sun
It's locked up like a trophy
Forgetting all the things it's done

And though it's been a long time
You're right back where you started from
I see it in your eyes
That now you're giving up the gun

You; the External of Me

Memories slipping through the cracks of time,
thoughts as fluid as running water,
i enjoyed you, why was that a crime?
you were easy words on life's paper...
if i were given a dime
every time you said you'd come back later...

i love you i love you i love you
screamed my head when i closed my eyes,
you had become part of my paradise
our hourglass just ran out of time,
but  you have always just been mine,
no matter how many times they delete you.

you'll come back to me, and i to you,
just like we used too,
for i'm nothing without you now,
and i've grown to become a part of you.
So when i wake up tomorrow,
it's you that'll i'll find
for i've always known... you.

When I Lose My Sight...

The day will come I know, for even now I am slowly unable to see.  I shall remember the colours of crayons and trees in my favourite park. I shall remember the faces of my loved ones and the strange strangers that I could never forget. I shall remember everything and everyone that crossed my path and touched my eyes. I shall miss watching the sky everyday, day and night. Everyday I watched the clouds and the stars, everyday. It was as if I knew I would lose my sight one day. At least now I can quietly record my favourite scenes in my head, at least I was lucky enough to have seen so many beautiful things through these eyes of mine, at least I saw all that I could, all that I would. I shall miss it all.

Now as my tears flow, as I solemnly say my goodbyes, days away from the apocalypse of my paradise, I can only be grateful. Thankful for seeing what I’ve seen and happy to continue enjoying if not the sights at least the sounds of life. I hear that the sounds of life are as great if not greater than its imagery. At least I still can lose myself in music, as how I’ve lost myself in paintings and photographs countless times before. At least I can still hear my loved ones speak and feel their sweet embrace. At least I can still smile, at least I still can swim, at least I can still run, at least I still can do EVERYTHING but see. To have seen and not, is better than to have never seen at all.

It was all a dream...

I woke up this morning, asking myself;
was it all a dream...?

I see I said, jealousy I said
Got the whole industry mad at me I said
Then B.I. said, "Hov' remind yourself
nobody built like you, you designed yourself"
I agree I said, my one of a kind self
Get stoned every day like Jesus did
What he said, I said, has been said before
"Just keep doin your thing," he said, say no more

Your Silence

 Your thunderous silence
shatters my fragile sanity,
Our stubborn fiery dance
burns my delicate reality.
Can't you see?
How i'm bleeding profusely.

That thunderous silence
continuously rings all around,
suffocating me in my corner
I hold on to every little sound.
Can't you speak?
And release me.

Your thunderous silence
disturbs my mental state.
Wait, add physical turmoil
to the list my symptoms.
Can't you feel?
My fear of those demons.

That thunderous silence
brings me to my knees,
hands tied behind my back
not everyone hears my pleas.
Can't you hear?
My silent screams...

Of Seas and Skies

The thunder drowns out
the silent pleas
of my brothers and sisters
who have come to me,
the lightning in their eyes
tell me to lay low
and to stop crossing foreign skies.

Tomorrow i will travel
through the deep sea instead,
since I've been stopped
and heard what has been said.
Tomorrow i will continue again
to seek for new bread
and a home with a bed
this i will seek till I am dead.

The Streets

Why would you fade to black?
when there's so many other ways to die out
why not drown in purple or blue?
or hang with strings the colour of soot?
you and I can disappear without a clue
while forgetting everything but our loot.

Run with me through the streets
paint stripes on those roofs.
Don't take off your cleats
bring the ball, I'll show you my moves.
I stole my freedom from the rich
they were easy to spot in their fancy suits.

Tomorrow I'll be singing my hymns
knowing God is looking after me.
Who cares about my rhymes?
even if its all about being free,
all they want is that short-lived joy
to applaud and smile then quickly flee.

Treasure

Inspiration hides beneath
every unturned stone
waiting to be discovered
to be unleashed at last
upon the bland world.

My jewels gleam in the sun
the rich man doesn't even ponder
over my undesired wealth.
Aren't the poor lucky?
That's how things should be.

As the sun shines for the last time
they start looking for my gold.
How do you find the abstract
in the midst of darkness?

Even if he lost his sight,
the blind man could always see.

The Shadow

He who knows no sleep;
travels the world in his dreams.
He who knows not to eat;
tastes feasts in his tongue.
He who knows no love;
feels the burn in his heart.
He who knows no fear;
shivers in his own mind.
He who knows no one;
talks to every stranger.

He who knows no pain;
bites his lips every now and again.
He who knows no greed;
gives an excuse that he needs to feed.
He who knows no chance;
sometimes looses his own stance.
He who knows no tears;
cries silently away from his peers.
He who knows no goodbyes;
also eventually dies.

Huntress

She sees nothing but sapphire skies
even in the darkest of days
even when she's surrounded by pure lies
she never hears what anyone says.
That cunning gleam in the night
it's such a beautiful sight
just watch her smile...

Everything is quiet and still
it is both dark and bright
in the nude she moves for the kill
she leaves behind her true plight.
That cunning gleam in the night
this is the only direction she feels
just watch her fly...

She turns around for that last look
and kneels to kiss the ground
this was not written in any book
she was never lost to be found.
That cunning gleam in the night
it's such an ugly sight
just watch her fly...

Reflections

Images and words weave a rich Persian carpet
this vehicle will fly her to the unknown
there she will sit and reflect no more
for she has been milked by her demons.
What is the end? When did I begin?
Is it truly a circle?
Like the ancients said.

Turning my head at every gasp and queer sound
I scared myself into living
those whispers in the wind
the smiling empty faces
facades of an intricate space
I denied some baits but bit many
I thought I was better than the sea

My own voices run free.
Control it? Embrace it?
Many have come and it was I that left
sooner or later i remember them fondly
and miss all but a few
this is the fate of everyone
like everyone; i wish i was the only one.

There are to many lights to count,
yet some shine brighter to some
while dim out in the eyes of others.
Why question the unexplainable?
am never satisfied because am lost
Do i fight with no cause
Or wait till i drift ashore...
